Geraint Carter - Investment Group, Bordeaux Index Geraint Carter is a former senior analyst at the Bank of England where he worked on financial stability and international financial institution supervision. He joined Bordeaux Index in 2006 where he helped to establish wine advisory and analytical services. He is responsible for managing corporate and private client investment portfolios. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and Politics from Durham University and a Master's degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Wales. |
Duncan Hughes - Partner, Arch Financial ProductsDuncan Hughes has run the Arch Fine Wine Fund since it’s inception in early 2006. Prior to Arch, he was global investment strategist at Threadneedle Asset Management and has held senior positions at Rothschild and other prominent City institutions in a 25 year career. He is a visiting lecturer in Financial Economics at the London Financial Academy and London Metropolitan University and sits on the industry’s CFA UK Investment Management Certificate examination panel. |
Andrew JeffordAndrew Jefford has been writing about wine since the late 1980’s. He has written eleven books and guides on wines and spirits, including the widely admired ‘The New France’. In addition, he has won over twenty national and international awards including eight Glenfiddich Awards. From 1992-2002, he was the drinks columnist for the Evening Standard and he has written for an array of newspapers and specialist wine magazines including the Financial Times, The Times, The Guardian, Decanter, The World of Fine Wine and Waitrose Food Illustrated. Andrew talks on The Food Programme and The Wine Programme on Radio 4. He speaks regularly in public, holding tutored and master-class tastings throughout the UK. |
Michael Lainas - Executive Director, Cert Octavian Michael has been a director of Cert Octavian, a leading provider of bonded wine storage and distribution, for over 13 years and has been the architect of many of the business initiatives in Cert Octavian that have taken it from a turnover of less than £20million in 1995 to £46million in 2007. Michael’s specific roles have embraced Business Development, Marketing, Operations, HR and as managing director. He is now an Executive Director working with the Board to implement the business plan for growth over the next 3 years. Michael is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Michael has been a Board Director and Council member of the CILT(UK). He is a lover and collector of fine wine. |
Peter Lunzer - CEO, Lunzer Wine Investments Peter Lunzer has nearly 30 years experience in the wine industry, earning an enviable reputation both as a wine lecturer and for identifying wines with great capital growth potential. Credited with formulating the Price Step Theory, Peter has since further evolved his strategic thinking and insight developing the Wine Price Ratio which forms the basis of the investment policies of Lunzer Wine Investments. Prior to launching Lunzer Wine Investments, he was Director and Co-Founder of The Wine Investment Fund and was the Fund's wine adviser and stock picker. |
